Last week the TU Wien Space Team attended the European Forum Alpbach<\/a>\u00a02016.<\/p>\n

Wednesday noon we organized a rocket-workshop in collaboration with the Happylab<\/a>, where several\u00a0Forum attendees built their own paper rockets.<\/p>\n

During the nightly opening of the\u00a0Fab Lab Pop-Up by Happylab\u00a0we presented the two-stage model of STR06. Even\u00a0state secretary Dr. Harald Mahrer was admiring our model rocket.<\/p>\n

Thursday morning a panel discussion on\u00a0the topic “Outer Space” took place, where the\u00a0president of the TU Wien Space Team Christian Plasounig participated in.<\/p>\n

Later on a launch campaign in front of the astonishing mountain backdrop was held by the TU Wien Space Team in cooperation with the\u00a0Club Alpbach Nieder\u00f6sterreich. Due to spatial conditions and legal regulations the maximum height was restricted to 150m.<\/p>\n

The first rocket to launch was the STR Needle, which showed a perfect flight. Afterwards, the paper rockets built at the previous day were launched individually.<\/p>\n

Besides\u00a0the successful campaign we had the opportunity to visit several presentations and breakout sessions during the\u00a0Technology Symposium held in Alpbach. Furthermore, we could chat with\u00a0several personalities among the framework program.<\/p>\n
